synconcentrix 022812headbBusiness processing outsourcing (BPO) company Concentrix has expanded its core business in the Philippines with the $505 million acquisition of IBM’s worldwide customer care services.  Its new Quezon City location is:  5F Technoplaza One Building, Brgy. Bagumbayan, Eastwood City Cyberpark.

Vice president and general manager of Concentrix Philippines Junar Amador said the merger of Concentrix and IBM’s customer care services will boost the firm’s workforce in the country to 13,000 employees.  Amador noted that more BPO jobs will be offered by Concentrix in 2014 because of the merger.

“From 13,000, we are going to grow continuously this year because we have new clients in the pipeline and we are also looking at the organic growth of our current client base. We just don’t have the exact figure,” he said.

The Quezon City location is in addition to its delivery centers in Manila, Cagayan de Oro, and Davao City,  as well as those it acquired from the IBM acquisition:  Naga City, UP-Ayala, Nuvali in Sta. Rosa, Eastwood, Makati and Ortigas.

The acquisition of IBM’s customer care business was first announced by Concentrix’s parent company SYNNEX Corp. in September 2013. SYNNEX Corp. is a Fortune 500 company engaged in providing its clients with platforms and services for customer strategies.

“After the integration of Concentrix and IBM’s worldwide customer care business, then we will have a total of 45,000 employees worldwide, more than 300 clients, with service delivered from about 50 delivery centers all over the world,” Amador said.

Concentrix said the acquisition places the firm among the top 10 players in the BPO industry.
