QC Enacts Public-Private Partnership Ordinance

 

ppp-ordinanceOrdinance No. SP 2336, series of 2014, provides for the Public Private Partnership Code of Quezon City or the “Quezon City Code pursuing a Public-Private Partnership Approach towards the development, providing for the procedure for selecting private sector proponent, adopting a contract management framework and providing appropriations and for other purposes.”  The PPP is a priority program of the Bautista Administration, to encourage private enterprise participation in projects to promote public good.  The legislation recognizes how public - private partnership projects can in result in more efficient, speedy and cost-effective delivery of services to the public.

Use Your Mobile Phone to Pay Real Property Taxes in QC and Get Electronic Receipts

gcashpaymentrptYou can pay your real property taxes in Quezon City using your mobile phone, anytime day or night, seven days a week, from anywhere you are in the Philippines. Even your receipts are accessible electronically.  Quezon City government has been providing this payment convenience to real property taxpayers since January 2014. You can use the most basic cellphone to pay your taxes as long as you have a Globe or Touch Mobile ™ SIM card.  You have three options: (1)  Assessment and payment; (2) Assessment only;  (3) Payment only.

QC – LGU adds convenience to taxpayers thru mobile money

mobilemoneyA new innovation in tax payment convenience was developed by the Quezon City Government in 2012, in partnership with the US Agency for International Development, under the “Scaling Innovations in Mobile Money” project (SIMM).

SIMM provides another mechanism for automating existing payment and collections systems for a faster, more secure, and more accountable management and tracking of government financial transactions.
